Troop 3 is in the Monticello District of the Stonewall Jackson Area Council.

We are chartered by the Louisa County Rotary Club.


Our Troop is very active! We camp out and go hiking regularly. And everyone knows Troop 3 eats well! Safety is our #1 priority. We utilize the buddy system to ensure everyone's safety at all times. Our Troop is run by the Scouts, while adult leaders keep things in order. This way they learn leadership by being leaders themselves.

Some of the activities we participate in are the Klondike Derby, skiing at Wintergreen Resort, the Spring Camporee, riding the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Bike Trail, high adventure camping for older scouts at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, summer camp at Camp Shenandoah, marching in parades, camping at Nags Head, camping at various places around Virginia, attending the Norfolk Naval Base Air Show, the Apple Harvest Camporee, Christmas tree sales, and numerous service projects. Every four years we attend the National Scout Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill! Check out our Calendar for more information, and read the News to see what's coming up soon.
