The Daughters of the Confederacy asked us to put flags on the unmarked graves of Confederate soldiers at Oakland Cemetery in Louisa on Memorial Day. These brave Scouts came out in the pouring rain to remember and pay respects to those who lost their lives fighting in the Civil War in Louisa County. Most of the Confederate soldiers buried at Oakland Cemetery died at the Battle of Trevilians Station.
